THE SERVICE
We provide a comprehensive eyelet application service, offering a variety of sizes and finishes, including:
- Metal Eyelets: Available in a range of sizes from 8mm-40mm and many metal finishes.
- Stitched Eyelets: Standard industry corset size with an internal diameter of approximately 3mm, though this may vary slightly depending on the fabric used.
HIGH-RISK GARMENTS – We do not press-stud PVC/plastic finishes, lightweight fabrics, knits, netting, lace, unstabilized jersey, or other stretch fabrics. Additionally, we may not press-stud leather, pleather, wadded materials, or brocade.
PREPARATION
Please send your garments and/or fabric correctly marked. Accompany your items with an ORDER FORM detailing placement and style finishes.
Marking
For eyelets, mark with a dot or small cross in pencil, chalk or steam pen at the centre point of each eyelet, on the FACE SIDE (outside).
Double-check your markings, as once applied, they are permanent. Please ensure eyelets are placed within 7-8 cm from the fabric edge, as the machine has limited insertion space. For corsets, please remove any boning to allow for complete compression of the eyelets.
NO PINS in the garments/fabric.
A helpful hint: use post-it notes or safety pins to highlight where the markings are.
Checklist
- garment marked correctly – see instructions above
- placement is close to the edges
- fuse thin or stretchy fabrics (organza, lightweight silks, leather/PU, PVC, jersey and knitted are unsuitable)
- loosely tack facings around the area or out of the way to avoid facing slippage.
Eyelet Stock

Stitched Eyelets
Stitched eyelets are available in a single size. If you require a specific colour, please provide your own thread. Stitched eyelets should be positioned within 1.5 cm from the edge of the fabric. For corsets, ensure that the boning is removed, as the machine cannot clamp down if it is present.

We recommend using 120-weight thread spools, such as Coats Tre Cherchi 40, though Gutterman 120 may also be suitable. Note that only specific spool types are compatible with our machine; sew-all spools do not fit the threaders used on keyhole machines.

Recommended London based thread suppliers: William Gee, London Trimmings, or MacCulloch & Wallis
